Supplemental data: Perceived training gaps of newly licensed veterinarians and impact of single-instance peer mentorship participation in Ontario, Canada - Interviews with mentors

Interviews were conducted with 10 participants from, with three (30%) participants identifying as men and seven (70%) as women. The average age of participants was 58 years (median = 59, range = 46 to 68) and average time in veterinary practice was 33 years (median = 33, range = 20 to 43).

Among our participants, eight (80%) were companion-animal veterinarians, one (10%) was a mixed-animal veterinarian, and one (10%) was a veterinary specialist. Four of our participants (40%) had a graduate degree (e.g., MSc, PhD, MBA). Interviews were held from January 14 to March 20, 2025.
