Associated Dataset of Spatial Restructuring and Influencing Factors Analysis of New Quality Productive Forces in Western China

Geographically, it covers 12 provincial-level administrative regions in western China, encompassing 143 city-level administrative units including municipalities directly under the central government, prefecture-level cities, autonomous prefectures, leagues and prefectures; temporally, it spans from the 10th Five-Year Plan period to the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with five time cross-sections in 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2024.

Composed of 5 Excel files, the dataset contains three core categories of data: first, stock and growth type data of new quality productive forces across all five cross-sections, including the measurement results of new quality productive forces stock for each city and the classification results of urban growth types derived from the two-dimensional "stock share – growth contribution rate" framework; second, industrial-level measurement data for three time nodes (2005, 2015 and 2024), including evaluation results of industry-specific specialization (measured by location quotient index) and relative diversification index for cities in western China; third, analytical results of factors influencing the spatial distribution of new quality productive forces, covering calculation outputs of single-factor detection and interaction detection from the Geodetector model.
