Alkanols, Methyl nitrite, NO, and particle seed added to chamber, UV lights turned on for 10 sec, multifunctional products formed. In most experiments in this experimental set, 10-second UV light/photochemistry burst repeated a few times. SMPS measurements of particle size distributions were conducted to determine particle formation, surface area and condensational sink rate coefficients.
Gas-phase chemical species were measured with nitrate CIMS.
