Summary

Files (SFs) 1 through 4. Each SF constituted a particular set of data tables for specific types of areas. The agency created the Census 2000 Special Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Tabulation under a reimbursable agreement with a consortium of four Federal agencies, consisting of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

The Census 2000 Special EEO Tabulation served as the primary external benchmark for comparing the race, ethnicity, and sex composition of an organization's internal workforce, and the analogous external labor market, within a specified geography and job category. The Simulated Totals for Hispanic National Origin Groups files were created and used as part of an agency sponsored simulation analysis. Data tabulated for citizenship by race and Hispanic origin were produced by the agency as a special tabulation sponsored by Election Data Services.

This series contains summary statistic data tabulated from the responses to the 22nd Census of Population and Housing (Census 2000). Census 2000 information was released in a series of summary statistic files. The summary statistic files are basically a set of predefined tables for various levels of geography. The summary statistics data were derived from the two forms used to collect the Census 2000 data.

A short form with seven basic questions went to all households. A long form with these same questions and additional questions went to a sample of households. The information that is tabulated from the questions asked of ev ery person and housing unit is called the 100 percent or short-form data.

The long-form questionnaire included the same seven population and housing questions plus additional inquiries. This may be called the sample data, or the long-form data.Data tabulated from the short-form questions (100 percent data) was released first. Short-form information is included in the Redistricting
