SFMTA Bike and Scooter Citations

A. SUMMARY This dataset contains records of citations for bicycle and scooter violations throughout the city issued by SFMTA's Mobility Services Inspectors.
Description
Citations are issued for violations of riding, parking or permit regulations set out in the San Francisco Transportation Code (see more detail below). Some of these citations originate from 311 complaints.
The data is published as part of the City's transparency initiative and includes information on the types of violations cited and the status of each citation. The dataset includes citations issued from October 2019 onwards. B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED Case data for citations issued that are captured in MTA's Salesforce Customer Record Management system.

Once a citation is issued, a record is generated in MTA's system. C. UPDATE PROCESS Data is extracted from Salesforce at a monthly frequency and updated in the page. D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET This dataset can be joined to Bikes and Scooters 311 Complaints on parent_311_case_id = case_id .
Please note that the dataset does not include citations issued by any other law enforcement agencies other than MTA's Mobility Services division. E.
