High climate sensitivity in CMIP6 model not supported by paleoclimate

Listed in National Center for Atmospheric Research

Here, we report EECO simulations using CESM2 and find that its high ECS is not supported by geological evidence.

Description

Our simulations incorporate the latest reconstructions of EECO boundary conditions, including paleogeography, vegetation cover and land surface properties.
