Dataset of Two-wave Entrepreneur Questionnaire Supporting "What Sustains Entrepreneurial Motivation? The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Energy and the Asymmetric Moderating Effect of Resources"

The research is based on the Prolific and Qualtrics platforms, and will be distributed in two phases: December 2024 and February 2025. A total of 299 valid paired samples will be collected, covering entrepreneurs from China, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The questionnaire includes six core variables: profit motivation, prosocial motivation, entrepreneurial energy, entrepreneurial persistence, psychological well-being, and perceived institutional support. It is matched with control variables such as gender, age, education, entrepreneurial experience, and industry, all of which are measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The data was subjected to reliability and validity, common method bias, hierarchical regression, Bootstrap mediation and moderation tests to validate the "entrepreneurial motivation entrepreneurial energy entrepreneurial persistence" chain model, revealing the asymmetric moderating mechanisms of psychological well-being and perceived institutional support.
