The Macrostructural Framework of the Partner Market in a Longitudinal Perspective

Listed in GESIS Data Archive and CESSDA Data Catalogue — shown once because both records carry DOI 10.4232/1.13881

The goal of the DFG (German Research Council) project ´The macrostructural framework of the partner market in a longitudinal perspective´ is to generate the most accurate possible description of partner market conditions and their evolution over the past decades.

Description

Partner market indicators that are appropriate to the theoretical framework are applied to the German population after 1985; these indicators will facilitate longitudinal analyses to determine the influence of regional partner markets on partner choice and related aspects, such as partnership stability or birth rate trends.

The indicators can be linked to existing sociological datasets at the district level (´Landkreise´ and ´Stadtkreise´). The partner market indicators determined are sorted by district code number, calendar year, age (age groups 18 to 74) and sex. The indicators can be linked to existing individual social science data sets at the district level.
