Dye-nanotube interaction mechanisms governing nonlinear optical absorption in SWCNT hybrids
Listed in ScienceDB
This dataset contains the key experimental figures from the manuscript “Dye–nanotube interaction mechanisms governing nonlinear optical absorption in SWCNT hybrids”, presented as a single PowerPoint slide deck (file: Figures_Manuscript.pptx, size approximately 3.1 MB).
Description
The figures summarize the synthesis, characterization, and nonlinear optical measurements of four noncovalent hybrids of single‑walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with water‑soluble dyes: Rhodamine 6G (Rh6G), Methylene Blue (MB), Chicago Sky Blue (CSB), and Fotoditazin (FD).
All data were obtained in the laboratories of the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (CAS, China) and St. Petersburg State University (Russia) between February 2018 and May 2018. No geospatial or temporal resolution applies. The data were generated using the following procedures and instruments.

Hybrid suspensions were prepared by tip ultrasonication of HiPCO‑type SWCNTs with Pluronic F127 and 1 mM dye solution, followed by ultracentrifugation and purification with activated carbon. Linear absorption spectra were recorded on a PerkinElmer Lambda 950 UV‑Vis‑NIR spectrometer (250–1200 nm, 2 mm cells). Raman spectra (radial breathing mode and G’‑mode) were acquired with a Horiba LabRAM HR Evolution system (He‑Ne laser, 633 nm excitation).
Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images were taken with an FEI Tecnai G2 F20 instrument. Steady‑state and time‑resolved luminescence (excitation at 405 nm) were measured on a Cary Eclipse spectrofluorometer and a MicroTime 100 microscope (PicoQuant, 80 ps pulse width). Femtosecond Z‑scan (340 fs, 515 nm) and nanosecond Z‑scan (4 ns, 532 nm) were performed using setups described in Ref.
[11] of the manuscript; the same setup (380 fs, 520 nm) was used for degenerate pump‑probe measurements with a pump pulse energy of 3.5 μJ. All nonlinear coefficients (I_sat,α, β_eff, γ_eff) were obtained by fitting the Z‑scan curves to Eqs. (1) and (2) in the main text using a least‑squares routine in MATLAB.The slide deck contains 6 slides, including 3 figures, each corresponding to a figure in the manuscript.
All data are presented as original experimental traces (Z‑scan, pump‑probe, absorption, luminescence, Raman) or processed images (TEM). Units for all axes are provided directly on the figures (e.g., normalized transmittance, wavelength in nm, Raman shift in cm⁻¹, time in ps). No tabular data are included in this dataset, as the numerical fitting results (Table 1 of the manuscript) are fully reported in the main article.
The presentation uses standard Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 365) format; the file can be opened with PowerPoint 2016 or later, or with free viewers such as LibreOffice Impress (v 6.0 +) or the online Microsoft 365 viewer. For reuse, readers are encouraged to extract the raw numerical data from the original traces using digitization tools (e.g., WebPlotDigitizer), but the primary purpose of this archive is to provide a quick visual overview of the main findings.
