The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) conducts routine monitoring of water quality in the Swan Canning catchment.

Description

Data collected through the monitoring program is used to inform management of the river system by DBCA. Data produced through the monitoring program provides essential information to assess system response to management actions and to report against catchment nutrient reduction targets.

Data collected is stored in the Water Information Network (WIN) database maintained by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and is made publicly available via the Water Information Reporting (WIR) portal.
