This dataset contains species occurrence data from surveys of terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity conducted along the river Ristelva and its tributaries at Byneset, Trondheim municipality, Trøndelag county, Norway.
Description
The data were collected in 2025 as part of a broader environmental assessment commissioned by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) in connection with planned landslide-protection and river-restoration measures.
The project, carried out by the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) in collaboration with the NTNU University Museum, aims to provide an updated overview of nature types, key habitats, and species of conservation concern within the ravine systems along Ristelva. The dataset includes occurrences of terrestrial and aquatic taxa, focusing in particular on wood-inhabiting fungi, epiphytic lichens, bryophytes, vascular plants, invertebrates, and vertebrate fauna.
