Description
The colored dashed vertical line marks the last observed week for a given forecast, with the forecast quantiles from 512 conditional trajectories (colored bands) representing the probabilistic forecast. Ten example trajectories are highlighted as thin colored lines.
The histograms show changes in hospitalizations across the 512 orange forecast trajectories from December 2 to December 23, 2023, in panel <b>a</b> and from January 11 to February 1, 2025, in panel <b>b</b>. The gray dotted lines mark these target weeks. Negative and positive changes indicate declining and increasing hospitalizations, respectively, with zero change marked by a dashed line in each inset. <b>b.</b> Same as panel a, but for the 2024–2025 influenza season.</p>
