Daily ERA5 Meteorological Data for Shanghai _ From 2023 to Present _ Including Holiday Information

ERA5 integrates observational data from surface meteorological stations, satellites, aircraft, ships, buoys, radiosondes and other sources, and combines numerical weather prediction models to generate continuous and consistent meteorological datasets.This dataset covers the 10‑metre U‑wind component, 10‑metre V‑wind component, 2‑metre air temperature and total precipitation within the administrative boundary of Shanghai.

ERA5 grid centre points were filtered according to Shanghai’s administrative boundary, resulting in 11 grid points with a spatial resolution of 0.25° × 0.25°.The raw data has an hourly temporal resolution. During processing, latitude cosine‑weighted averaging was first applied to grid points within Shanghai, and the results were then aggregated into daily data in Beijing Time (UTC+8). For U‑wind, V‑wind and air temperature, 24‑hour mean values were calculated, while 24‑hour cumulative values were computed for precipitation.
