This RSC working paper examines research on children in volatile settings such as armed conflict.
Description
The aim here is to equip researchers to most safely and profitably pursue participatory research with children and, to that end, the paper explores the specific conceptual, ethical and methodological issues concerned. Following the introduction, main section headings include: 'Thinking about children in armed conflict', 'Ethical issues in research with children amidst armed conflict', and 'Methods for research with children living amidst armed conflict'.
The document also includes a three part appendices.
