Marine Medicines from the Irish Deep survey in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Description
The three major objectives of this proposed cruise are: 1) the collection of marine benthic organisms and sediment for screening in a variety of biological assays, 2) the collection of Terebellid polychaetes in order to isolate and indentify trematode parasites, and 3) paleoclimate reconstruction for the deep sea habitats using isotope ratios in scleractinian corals.
