The dataset consists of two data files, corresponding to Experiment 1 (the influence of beauty on the attractiveness of unfamiliar faces) and Experiment 2 (the influence of gender and face familiarity on facial attractiveness and beauty effects), in the format of. sav.
Description
Each data file mainly contains the facial attractiveness scores of male and female faces before and after beauty treatment, as well as data on the beauty effects (post beauty attractiveness - pre beauty attractiveness) and familiarity effects of different facial genders. 1.
Experiment 1 selected 60 participants (30 male and 30 female) and adopted an in subject design of 2 (beauty: front, back) × 2 (facial gender: male, female), with the dependent variable being facial attractiveness score. 2. Experiment 2 selected 54 participants. Under familiar conditions, there were 27 participants (22 females) who had one year of real interaction experience with individuals in the facial stimulus material, who were their classmates.

Under unfamiliar conditions, there were 27 participants (22 females) who were not familiar with the individuals in the facial stimulation material and were completely unfamiliar to them. Adopting a mixed design of 2 (beauty: front, back) x 2 (facial gender: male, female) x 2 (familiarity: unfamiliar, familiar). Among them, pre - and post beauty and facial gender are intra subject variables, familiarity is an inter subject variable, and the dependent variable is facial attractiveness score.
