This data set comprises the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) maps in .PDF format for the following Great Lakes and associated waterways: north, east, and west Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Superior, the St.
Description
Lawrence seaway, and the St. Mary's River.
ArcInfo Coverage Export (.e00) files are provided for: Lake Huron, north, south, and west Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario, and Lake Superior. ESI data characterize estuarine environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil. The ESI data include information for three main components: shoreline habitats; sensitive biological resources; and human-use resources.
