Bat mist-netting data from Belarus

The work was carried out as part of a long-term study on the species composition, distribution, and ecology of bats in the region.Bats were captured using standard mist-nets set up near potential foraging areas, water bodies, forest edges, and roost sites. Nets were monitored regularly throughout the night.

For each captured individual, we recorded species, sex, age class, reproductive status, and standard morphometric measurements (forearm length and body mass). Ectoparasites, when present, were collected and preserved for further study.All captured bats were handled in accordance with ethical guidelines and released unharmed at the capture site immediately after processing. This dataset provides valuable baseline information for monitoring bat populations, assessing habitat use, and supporting conservation planning in Belarus.
