ROSETTA-ORBITER MARS RPCMAG 2 MARS RAW V9.0
Listed in Open NASA
This dataset contains EDITED RAW DATA (CODMAC LEVEL 2) of the MARS SWINGBY (MSB)of the ROSETTA orbiter magnetometer RPCMAG.
Description
The covered time period is August 29, 2006 until May 22, 2007. On August 29, 2006 the Passive Checkout PC3 was executed.
In November and December 2006 the Passive Checkout PC4 took place. The actual Mars Swingby happened between February 23 and February 27, 2007 with the Closest Approach on February 25, 2007 at 01:58 UTC. On May 22, 2007 the Passive Checkout PC5 was executed.

The current version of the dataset is V9.0. The difference to the datasets of earlier versions is mainly a significantly improved sensor temperature model, more detailed documentation about magnetic disturbance sources, more data handling information for the user and also an improved quality flagging system. This applies mainly to CALIBRATED and RESAMPLED datasets.
The RAW dataset, however, has been updated as well in order provide all datasets at the same stage, although RAW data proper did not change.
