Carbon Emissions From Pond-Based Monoculture and Polyculture Aquaculture Systems

Monthly 24-hour measurements of CO₂ and CH₄ fluxes were conducted over a complete production cycle, enabling calculation of cumulative annual emissions. The dataset includes emission rates, pond-level carbon budgets linking fish production (live weight and protein yield) to CO₂-equivalent emissions.

Results allow evaluation of species-specific differences, comparisons between monoculture and polyculture systems, and quantification of the relative contribution of direct emissions versus findirect emissions to overall GHG footprint of fish farming.
