A dataset of amino acids, minerals, and vitamins content in Galla-derived honey from Guizhou Province

Guizhou Province is a typical region characterized by Karst topography development, where the main autumn honey produced is Galla-derived honey. This study randomly selected honey from farming bases from 10 regions (Longli, Dushan, Taijiang, Duyun, Xifeng, Fenggang, Bijiang, Majiang, Zhen'an, and Kaiyang), where gallnuts are predominantly distributed in Guizhou Province.

These honey samples were collected from September to October 2023. We measured the content of 16 free and hydrolyzed amino acids (aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, glycine, alanine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, lysine, histidine, arginine, proline), mineral content (calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, potassium, sodium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium), and vitamin content (vitamin A, carotene, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid, niacin, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin E, biotin, vitamin K) of the honey samples.
