ZIP Code Business Patterns (ZBP) Files

Governmental establishments are excluded, with the exception of wholesale liquor establishments, retail liquor stores, Federally chartered savings institutions, Federally chartered credit unions, and hospitalsData are tabulated by industry based on the 1997 North American Industry Classification System. The files contain data by state, county, and the United States. Data are provided for most divisions of the economy, including agricultural services, mining, construction, manufacturing, transportation, public utilities, wholesale trade, retail trade, finance, insurance, real estate, and services.

Data are not provided for self-employed persons, domestic service workers, railroad employees, agriculture production workers, most government employees, and employees on ocean-borne vessels or in foreign countries.
