This dataset contains occurrence records and associated metadata for culturable marine yeasts isolated from seawater and sediment samples collected along the Mediterranean coast of the Region of Murcia, southeastern Spain.
Description
A total of 415 yeast and yeast-like fungal strains were recovered and identified using ITS and/or LSU rDNA sequencing. The records provide information on the spatial and temporal distribution of culturable marine yeasts in a heterogeneous western Mediterranean coastal region and include taxa of ecological and applied interest.
