Cryo-EM Structure of the Periplasmic Tunnel of T7 DNA-Ejectosome at 2.7 Å resolution. Swanson et al.

Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository

The T7 phage ejects three proteins called ejection proteins into the host cell envelope upon adsorption.

Description

Ejection proteins gp14, gp15, and gp16 assemble a DNA ejectosome to transport the viral genome across the cell envelope. Gp15 and gp16 form the periplasmic tunnel of the DNA ejectosome which we have resolved to 2.7 A resolution using cryo-electron microscopy single-particle analysis.
