Abstract
The article presents the results of lichenological studies conducted the Stara Dębina and Surażkowo nature reserves located in the Knyszyńska Forest (north-eastern Poland). A total of 97 taxa were recorded, including 66 species in the Stara Dębina reserve (24 of them exclusive to this locality) and 83 species in the Surażkowo reserve (30 exclusive taxa), while 42 species were shared by both reserves. The recorded taxa were characterized with regard to substrate preferences, legal protection status, threat categories according to the national red list, and bioindicator value as indicators of lowland old-growth forests.
Fifteen species were recorded for the first time from the Knyszyńska Forest. Keywords: distribution, diversity, lichenized fungi, natural forests, NE Poland
