Estimates of Livestock Files

This series contains the official state and county level estimates of livestock, including calves and cattle, beef and milk cows, chickens, sheep, swine, as well as annual estimates for eggs and dairy products. The Cattle and Calves file includes semi-annual estimates of the number of cattle and calves by weight and type (milk and beef cows, bulls, heifers and steers), the total value of all cattle and calves, and information on cattle and milk cow farms.

The Cattle on Feed file contains quarterly and monthly estimates of steers, heifers, and cows, numbers of steers and heifers by weight, and the number of placements, disappearances, and marketings.
