Index to Preliminary Control (PC) Numbered Documents

The commission's work was supported by the Office of Litigation Support of the Department of Justice. The commission used the Office of Litigation Support's bibliographic control / subject matter system (the INQUIRE System) to compile an index to the commission's microfilmed "preliminary control" documents that was also used to support its investigation into the accid ent.

This series is an index to the series "Preliminary Control (PC) Numbered Documents, 1986" (ARC Identifier 594507). The index contains bibliographic information including the document title and date, names and organizations of people mentioned in the document; control information including the PC numbers, microfilm numbers, and other identification information; and subject information consisting of a 6-character identifier from a commission prepared subject list for each document created or received by the commission.
