EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network (block B: irrigation blocks of Alfundão, Ferreira-Valbom, Loureiro-Alvito, Monte Novo, Pedrógão, Pisão, São Matias and Vale de Gaio): Bird Atlas - distributions [winter 2019 - spring 2020]

The dataset contains records of all birds collected in the area of the block B of the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (irrigation blocks of Alfundão, Ferreira-Valbom, Loureiro-Alvito, Monte Novo, Pedrógão, Pisão, São Matias and Vale de Gaio) and in a control zone, performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the winter of 2019 and in the spring of 2020, in 689 sampling squares of 1x1 km (UTM grid), distributed in the area affected by the Irrigation Block (561 “impact” squares) and in a control area (128 “control” squares), stratified by habitat.

A total of 76557 contacts was obtained, for 159 species and/or genus of birds.
