Replication Package for “Persistent Hotspots in Reported Disaster Incidence Across Indonesian Regencies and Cities, 2010–2024”

<p dir="ltr">This replication package accompanies the research article “Persistent Hotspots in Reported Disaster Incidence Across Indonesian Regencies and Cities, 2010–2024.”</p><p dir="ltr">The study examines the spatial recurrence of officially reported disaster-event incidence across 510 Indonesian regencies and cities over the period 2010–2024, comprising 7,650 district-year observations. The empirical design evaluates annual spatial dependence and recurrent local hotspot membership using centroid-based Haversine k-nearest-neighbour networks with k = 4, 8, and 12, 999 permutations, and the prespecified seed 20260913.

The primary analytical transformation is log1p(event_count), with raw event counts used as a cross-transformation sensitivity check.</p><p dir="ltr">The package contains the analysis-ready panel, source disaster-event workbooks, provenance documentation, derived spatial-inference outputs, permutation configuration, reproducibility documentation, and deterministic reproduction code used to generate the reported results.
