The VORTEX-95 6-second NWS Soundings dataset contains high resolution sounding data extracted from NWS MicroART Sounding systems at 12 sites in the VORTEX project domain.
Description
The dataset contains one sounding level every 6 seconds. This dataset includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude.
These data have been extensively quality-controlled, with every sounding subjected to both computerized consistency checks and human visual review.
