Queensland biodiversity and vegetation offsets special features superseded

This document describes the process used to create the Biodiversity Planning Assessment-derived Offsets Special Feature datasets that were to be utilised in an offsets metric when required under the previous policy. The Queensland Government Vegetation and Biodiversity Offset Metric Methodology to Determine Ecological Equivalence (the Metric) outlined 14 special feature criteria that were to be considered when determining the ecological equivalence of a proposed development site and offset site.

The Biodiversity Planning Assessments (BPAs) provided 12 of these special features, and this dataset contained the ratings and scores for these special features. These special features included BPA Criteria H (priority species ), Criteria I (special biodiversity value areas), and Criteria J (corridors). For bioregions without a BPA, surrogate datasets were developed and included."
