This paper looks at major developments in Nigeria since December 1997.
Description
It gives a review of the general human rights situation from both international legal and national legislative contexts, and then examines the groups at risk, including women and children, Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani, Ijaws, Itsekiris, Urhobos, Ogonis, and Igbos in the Niger Delta. Finally, it looks at Nigerian refugees and asylum seekers and considers global trends.
