Description
The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of mechanisation (computerisation) on clerical work, with particular reference to the <i>de-skilling</i> of the clerical labour process; to examine the feminisation of the non-manual labour process and the implication of both computerisation and feminisation for male and female careers.<br>
