The dataset comprises 200 semi-quantitative records for 50 benthic invertebrate taxa and fish derived from four Agassiz trawl samples.
Description
The semi-quantitative data represent four categories of taxon occurrence frequency: notDetected, rare, common, and very common. Samples were collected on the continental shelf and slope near Kapp Norvegia (eastern Weddell Sea, Antarctica) at water depths ranging from 224 to 1,065 m during RV Polarstern cruise PS152 (WOBEC) in 2025/2026.
Weddell Sea Observatory of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Change (WOBEC) is funded under the European Union's flagship programme BiodivMon, coordinated within Biodiversa+, the European Biodiversity Partnership (grant no. Biodiversa2022-341).This dataset is published as open data in Darwin Core with technical support provided by SCAR Antarctic Biodiversity Portal (biodiversity.aq) (BELSPO project RT/23/ADVANCE).
