The dataset describes the spatial distribution of registrations and behaviour of 66 bird species censused by the territory mapping method during the breeding period along a fixed route (permanent transect) in pine forests of different ages (from 50 to 120 years) growing in the Oka River valley.
Description
The route length was 2800 m, with a maximum elevation difference of about 15 m. Geographic coordinates of the furthest points of the route were 54°51.684'N, 37°34.725' E and, 54°51.718' N, 37°37.472' E. In 2002 and 2003, 11 and 15 complete (each during two mornings) mapping visits were conducted from April 6 to July 8 and from April 5 to July 6, respectively.
The mapping visits were made regularly at intervals of 4-6 days.
