Influence of Access And Utilization of Electronic Information Resources on Academic Performance of Postgraduate Students in Universities in Benue State, Nigeria

The data for the study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Frequency counts, mean, and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while Chi-Square is used to test the hypotheses. Findings: The findings of the hypothesis revealed that the utilization of electronic resources has no significant influence on the academic performance of postgraduate students in universities in Benue State.

Further findings of the study revealed that electronic resources are available for use by postgraduate students in universities in Benue State, and the utilization of electronic resources influences the academic performance of postgraduate’s students in Benue State. Implications: The study recommended an increase in ICT facilities, supply of standby generating plants, subscription to electronic databases, retraining of librarians to be ICT compliance, and cooperation of ICT study skills at postgraduate level in the study area to promote an increase in access to and utilization of electronic resources by postgraduate students.
