The history of protection of an invention in Prussia is close connected with the economical and technical questions of industrialization of the 19th century.
Description
The central interest of this study is aimed at the part of the patent system in context of the innovationprozess during the early and main phases of industrialization. Further the patent system’s significance for prussian policy concerning trade and industry is analyzed.
The question is which contribution is given by the protection of invention to the technical development and economical growth and, furthermore, which effects are assigned to the the invention’s protection by the economic politicians, the economic theorists, als well as the tradesmen, the engineers, and the innovators.
