The main goal of the research was to examine the attitudes of academic authors around the world towards open access publishing, including their experiences with open access, their publishing practices and their opinions about different publishing modelsEmails containing links to the survey were sent to 107,296 scholars listed on De Gruyter’s Open mailing lists in a period from December 2015 to January 2016.
