Pressure/temperature/salinity profiler measurements collected in the Sea of Japan, 2001-06 to July 2001, under the sponsorship of the Office of Naval Research (NCEI Accession 0002416)

Previous data were collected during the field experiment with a two-dimensional array of pressure-gauge equipped inverted echo sounders (PIES) and deep recording current meters (RCM). (NODC Accession 0002331) Hourly measurements of vertical acoustic travel time, pressure, temperature and horizontal currents are provided.

Additional processing has been done to provide data sets which can easily be used together as a coherent array. The travel time records have been projected on to a common depth level, low-pass filtered, and subsampled to twice daily. The low-pass filtered, subsampled pressures have been adjusted to a common, deep geopotential surface.
