Tête Rousse passive seismic array

Since 2010, geophysicists and glaciologists are monitoring the glacier as a large amount of liquid water in a cavity at the center of the glacier has been found. The water was pumped several times since then and the shape and location of the cavity have evolved. To better constrain the location of the cavity, a seismic acquisition was performed between the 4th and the 22nd of May 2022. 60 SmartSolo ® 3C seismic nodes were deployed in a regular grid of 30x25m.The sampling frequencies were 500 Hz, and 1000 Hz depending on the sensors’ locations.the provided dataset is composed of the daily recordings in miniseed format for each component (N,E,Z) and for each sensor between the 4th and the 22nd of May 2022.

We also provide a table with the basic information required for each sensor (latitude, longitude, altitude, gain, sampling frequency etc.).
