Quality of fresh-cut Angelicae Sinensis Radix from Yunnan under different drying conditions and ''microorganism-component'' correlation evaluation

Listed in ScienceDB

Description

Based on the entropy comprehensive scoring method, this study investigates the changes in pharmacological components of freshly cut cloud Angelica sinensis under four drying conditions (sun drying and hot air drying at 40, 50, and 60 ° C), and analyzes the correlation between its microbial community composition and pharmacological components. Using electronic nose to quantify the odor of Angelica sinensis and conducting principal component analysis; Determine the content of six active ingredients, including volatile oil, ferulic acid, ligustilide, polysaccharides, total phenols, and total flavonoids; Evaluate its free radical scavenging ability using DPPH and ABTS methods; Using high-throughput sequencing of 16S and ITS microorganisms to reveal changes in microbial community composition during the fresh cutting and drying process, and conducting correlation analysis between "microorganisms and components".

The results showed that the sun dried samples had the best comprehensive score, followed by 40 ℃ hot air drying, with the best retention of their characteristics (curling rate, odor), medicinal ingredients (volatile oil, ferulic acid, ligustilide, polysaccharides, total phenols, total flavonoids), and antioxidant activity (DPPH, ABTS free radical scavenging ability). In addition, 16S and ITS microbial sequencing showed that dry conditions significantly affect the composition of microbial communities, with fungal community changes dominating, among which Aspergillus, Serratia, Apiotrichum, Naganishia, and other genera are closely related to changes in component content.

In summary, it is recommended to use 40 ℃ hot air drying in large-scale production to balance drying efficiency and the quality of Angelica sinensis medicinal materials. This study also provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the drying process of Angelica sinensis and studying the interaction mechanism between microorganisms and components during the drying process.
