However, information on cultivated vascular plants remains scattered among agricultural publications, floristic studies, botanical garden records, horticultural sources, and biodiversity databases. This dataset provides the first national checklist of cultivated vascular plants recorded in Kazakhstan.

The checklist includes 171 cultivated vascular plant taxa, comprising 165 species and 6 subspecies, belonging to 124 genera and 43 families. The dataset was compiled through a critical review of published literature, botanical garden records, agricultural and horticultural sources, field observations, and biodiversity databases. In addition to the taxonomic checklist, the dataset contains 3017 occurrence records documenting the distribution of cultivated plant taxa across the floristic regions of Kazakhstan.
