This dataset includes five bathymetric profils measured in 2015, 2020 and 2022 offshore Pointe-des-Monts.
Description
The objective of this work is to determine the recurrence of turbidites observed in the short sediment cores in order to determine if they reflect turbidity current activity within the Pointe-des-Monts submarine canyon system. The second objective is to determine the influence of bottom currents on the sedimentary deposits record.
This project was originally funded by Réseau Québec maritime (RQM) and Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction, and Response Network (MEOPAR).
