This document is a report on the Brookings Institution-UNHCR-OAU Workshop on Internal Displacement in Africa, which was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on October 19-20, 1998.
Description
The primary purpose of the workshop was to focus attention on the problem of internal displacement in Africa and to identify ways of improving the response to that problem at the national, regional and international levels. The report of the workshop contains recommendations that should prove of value to governments and organizations working with the internally displaced.
