This report aims to assess the effectiveness of the U.S. Refugee Act of 1980 in achieving the objectives spelled out in the law itself.
Description
It is based on the assumption that the U.S. will and should continue to be a country of refugee resettlement. It covers issues such as setting admission numbers and allocations, the refugee definition and application, gaps in U.S. admission policies, and implementation and operational issues.
