Mapping the Future of Work: A Bibliometric Dataset of 979 Web of Science and Scopus Publications with BERTopic Topic Modeling Results (1947–2026)

It can be reused directly for secondary bibliometric analysis, for benchmarking topic modeling pipelines on scientific abstracts, or for teaching, with no need to repeat the original retrieval or re-run the model. The corpus contains 979 publications retrieved from Web of Science (729 records) and Scopus (250 non-duplicated records), covering the period from 1947 to 2026, with a search cutoff of 4 May 2026.

Records were retrieved using the query "future of work" applied to title, keywords and abstract, integrated into a single deduplicated database and cleaned. The file is organized in nine sheets: (1) the preprocessed corpus, with 26 bibliographic metadata fields and a normalized text field used as model input; (2) the 100 most frequent concepts in the corpus; (3) a summary of the 14 topics identified; (4) the 10 most representative concepts per topic with their c-TF-IDF scores; (5) 268 boundary documents with full reassignment traceability; (6) temporal trend indicators per topic for 2018-2025, based on OLS regression and the Mann-Kendall test; (7) citation impact indicators per topic, including mean, median, 75th percentile, maximum, h-index and share of uncited documents; (8) the dominant topic of the 38 most productive countries; and (9) international collaboration indicators per topic.
