Land Problems in Nakivale Settlement and the Implications for Refugee Protection in Uganda

Through incorporating the testimonies of both refugees and nationals, it analyses the circumstances leading to the current conflict over land, and the implications for both the host community and the refugee management structure. The findings suggest that, as long as the land crisis remains unsolved and the policies employed are not modified, development for both refugees and their host communities will be hampered and the policies employed by the government concerning refugee protection will be undermined.
