Description
Ze trok het meest op met haar anderhalf jaar oudere broer. Ze beschrijft hoe ze de twee bombardementen op Rotterdam, de oorlogsjaren en de bevrijding heeft ervaren.
Na een medische keuring werd ze uitgezonden naar Engeland. Via Londen kwam ze in een kamp in Pontefract terecht, daarna bij een pleeggezin in Upholland nabij Wigan. In het kamp en in het pleegezin heeft ze het erg naar haar zin.
