Coastal and intertidal fauna baseline for the Cuenca Marina Austral-1 on-shore area in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, Total Austral

The information in this dataset was collected during a campaign made by the biodiversity consultant "BIOSUM", which is in charge of the biodiversity assesment in the Cuenca Marina Austral-1 on shore (CMA-1 on-shore) The campaign was developed in the frame of the preparation of a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) for the area. A BAP is a mandatory document each Total Austral´s operational site has to prepare. It compiles conservation actions that then must be implemented.

In order to be able to define these conservation actions, a first step is to collect high-quality scientific data of the area to analyse its current biodiversity status. Therefore, a coastal and intertidal fauna survey was conducted to this end.
