Vortex-harmonics-ENZ-w+3w

Listed in ScienceDB

Vortex harmonic radiation in an indium tin oxide thin film near the epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) region, driven by an ultrashort ω0+3ω0 two-color field, is theoretically investigated via numerical solution of the full-wave Maxwell equations with a nonlinear Kerr response.

Description

By adjusting the topological charge of the fundamental field or the amplitude ratio between the ω0 and 3ω0 components, different photon combination pathways contributing to each order harmonic are distinguished.

These pathways are manifested in characteristic spatiotemporal field distributions, ring-shaped intensity profiles with different radii, and spiral phase structures carrying different topological charges. The results demonstrate that the orbital angular momentum of harmonic radiation provides an effective indicator for identifying photon combination pathways.
